Breaking the Silence @ Create.Connect.Unwind Festival – Spoken Word Event for MFT staff

Spoken Word, Poetry and Flash Fiction celebrating connection and creativity in healthcare, featuring music by Mark McKenzie

Hosted by MFT’s very own Clinical Educator + Poet Christopher Seymour,  featuring a mixture Flash Fiction created by MFT staff during Lime’s creative writing workshops, and performances from leading UK based spoken word artists including Nathan Parker, Paige Dease and Esther ‘Estie’ Koch. The show will be accompanied by live music by acclaimed gospel and jazz pianist Mark McKenzie. Don’t miss out! This event promises to be lively, inspiring and unexpected!  

As part of Creativity & Wellbeing Week 2022, Lime are hosting the inaugural Create.Connect.Unwind Festival celebrating creativity and wellbeing at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. The festival will feature an exciting 3-day programme of free creative workshops and performances especially for MFT staff including:
• Drop in printing and creative workshops
• Indian dance workshops
• An evening of spoken word performance
• Live musical performance
• A concert with very special guest musicians from Indian arts organisation, Milapfest
• A pop up exhibition of artwork created by MFT staff through Lime’s staff wellbeing programme, Create. Connect.Unwind

Come find us on the Oxford Road Campus Boulevard at the Pavilion Stage on 18th, 19th and 20th May.

All events are free to attend for MFT staff and are drop in- no need to book, just drop us an email if you would like to attend limeart@mft.nhs.uk
