Lunchtime Concert Series @ MREH

Lime's popular Lunchtime Concert Series, now in its ninth year, sees over 100 concerts taking place annually and gives hospital visitors, patients, and staff a chance to enjoy live performances from top musicians. Set within the Royal Manchester Eye Hospital Atrium, these free concerts feature a wide range of instrumentalists performing a variety of genres.
Monday 28th September– 12:30-1:30pm –Manchester Reed Trio
An ensemble of clarinet, oboe, and bassoon perform a little bit of everything
Wednesday 30th September– 12:30-1:30pm –Mark McKenzie
Gospel and jazz classics in a performance from a local pianist.
Tuesday 6th October – 12:30-1:30pm – Holly-Alice Morton & Ruaraidh Williams
An alumni RNCM duo playing the harp and cello, rooted in improvisation to create a tranquil and soothing atmosphere
Wednesday 7th October – 12:30-1:30pm - Andy Patterson and Tim Williams
Double bass and guitar jazz duo
Tuesday 13th October – 12:30-1:30pm –Manchester Chamber Music Group
Music collective playing many styles from early Baroque through to modern show tunes

Light Classical and familiar songs from this flute and cello duo

A solo piano recital of popular jazz standards and American songbook classics

An alumni RNCM duo playing percussion and cello, rooted in improvisation to create a tranquil and soothing atmosphere

Max is a dynamic pop and soul RNCM musician covering the feel-good classics, timeless sing-alongs, and heartfelt ballads.

A classical guitar duo playing gentle music from the early Renaissance to Spanish folk songs and pop and jazz favourites.

Harp and sousaphone duo bringing their mix of playful repertoire to the Eye Hospital Atrium
Thursday 5th November – 12:30-1:30pm –Isabella Farleigh
Passionate RNCM cellist sharing her love for music and exploring the emotional connections it evokes within both the performer and audience
