Lunchtime Concert Series @ MREH

Lime's popular Lunchtime Concert Series, now in its ninth year, sees over 100 concerts taking place annually and gives hospital visitors, patients, and staff a chance to enjoy live performances from top musicians. Set within the Royal Manchester Eye Hospital Atrium, these free concerts feature a wide range of instrumentalists performing a variety of genres.
Tuesday 7th October - 12:30-1:30pm – Manchester Chamber Music Group
A trio of soprano, violin, and piano perform classical music throughout the ages.
Wednesday 8th October – 12:30-1:30pm – Ollie Charles
A solo recital of indie music from singer and guitarist Ollie Charles.
Monday 13th October – 12:30-1:30pm – Sound of Prana
Rooted in improvisation, this Live Meditation Music Trio create a moment of peace.
Wednesday 15th October – 12:30-1:30pm – Rumava String Trio
A classical recital performed by string instrumentalists from the RNCM.
Wednesday 22nd October – 12:30-1:30pm – Chris Lydon
A solo piano recital of popular jazz standards and American songbook classics.
Thursday 23rd October – 12:30-1:30pm – Amy and Alan
A classical guitar duo playing gentle music from the early Renaissance to Spanish folk songs and pop and jazz favourites.
Wednesday 29th October – 12:30-1:30pm – Ollie Charles
A solo recital of indie music from singer and guitarist Ollie Charles.
Wednesday 5th November – 12:30-1:30pm – Becca Mills and Pete Robinson
From Bach to Beyonce with a harp and sousaphone duo.
Monday 10th November – 12:30-1:30pm – Manchester Reed Trio
An ensemble of clarinet, oboe, and bassoon perform a little bit of everything.
Wednesday 12th November – 12:30-1:30pm – Christina Maxfield
A solo recital of classical music from a local violinist.
Wednesday 19th November – 12:30-1:30pm – Mark McKenzie
Gospel and jazz classics in a performance from a local pianist.
Wednesday 26th November – 12:30-1:30pm – Ruby Magee and Ameen Elbadri
Art songs and arias from a Manchester-based piano and voice duo.
Thursday 27th November – 12:30-1:30pm – Ardentia Trio
Music from contemporary and underrepresented composers as well as well-loved classics performed by a trio of piano, cello, and violin.
Wednesday 3rd December – 12:30-1:30pm – Chris Lydon
A solo piano recital of popular jazz standards and American songbook classics.
Wednesday 10th December – 12:30-1:30pm – Andy and Tim
A selection of standards and bossa nova tunes played with ease and closeness.
Wednesday 17th December – 12:30-1:30pm – Mark McKenzie
Gospel and jazz classics in a performance from a local pianist.
Wednesday 24th December – 12:30-1:30pm – Christmas Carols
A quartet of singers perform Christmas carols accompanied by piano.
