Lunchtime Concert Series @ MREH

Lime's popular Lunchtime Concert Series, now in its ninth year, sees over 100 concerts taking place annually and gives hospital visitors, patients, and staff a chance to enjoy live performances from top musicians. Set within the Royal Manchester Eye Hospital Atrium, these free concerts feature a wide range of instrumentalists performing a variety of genres.
Tuesday 23rd June – 12:30-1:30pm – Ruby Magee and Ameen Elbadri
Soprano and piano duo performing clasiical art songs and arias
Monday 29th June – 12:30-1:30pm – Manchester Reed Trio
Oboe, clarinet and bassoon trio playing classical music, alongside film and showtunes and even some pop!
Wednesday 1st July – 12:30-1:30pm – Chris Lydon
A solo piano recital of popular jazz standards and American songbook classics
Tuesday 7th July – 12:30-1:30pm – Andy Patterson and Tim Williams
Double bass and guitar jazz duo
Monday 20th July– 12:30-1:30pm –Amy and Alan
A classical guitar duo playing gentle music from the early Renaissance to Spanish folk songs and pop and jazz favourites.
Thursday 23rd July – 12:30-1:30pm –Chris Lydon
A solo piano recital of popular jazz standards and American songbook classics
Wednesday 29th July – 12:30-1:30pm –Mark McKenzie
Gospel and jazz classics in a performance from a local pianist.
Monday 3rd August – 12:30-1:30pm –Sound of Prana
Cello, harp and percussion trio rooted in improvisation to create a tranquil and soothing atmosphere
Wednesday 5th August – 12:30-1:30pm –Andy Patterson and Tim Williams
Double bass and guitar jazz duo
