Lunchtime Concert Series @ MREH

Lime's popular Lunchtime Concert Series, now in its ninth year, sees over 100 concerts taking place annually and gives hospital visitors, patients, and staff a chance to enjoy live performances from top musicians. Set within the Royal Manchester Eye Hospital Atrium, these free concerts feature a wide range of instrumentalists performing a variety of genres.
Tuesday 12th August – 12:30-1:30pm – John Lancaster
A solo sitar recital of selected ragas from Indian classical music
Tuesday 18th August – 12:30-1:30pm –Chris Lydon
A solo piano recital of popular jazz standards and American songbook classics
Wednesday 26th August – 12:30-1:30pm – Laurence Hughes + pianist
Light classical and familiar songs from this cello and piano duo
Thursday 3rd September – 12:30-1:30pm –Ardentia Trio
Cello, violin and piano trio playing a mix of classical and popular melodies
Monday 7th September– 12:30-1:30pm –Manchester Reed Trio
An ensemble of clarinet, oboe, and bassoon perform a little bit of everything.
Wednesday 16th September – 12:30-1:30pm –Andy Patterson and Tim Williams
Double bass and guitar jazz duo
Thursday 17th September – 12:30-1:30pm –Manchester Chamber Music Group
Trio playing music of many styles from early Baroque through to modern show tunes

Internationally renowned solo harpist and regular performer at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital
Monday 28th September– 12:30-1:30pm –Manchester Reed Trio

Wednesday 30th September– 12:30-1:30pm –Mark McKenzie
A piano recital of gospel and jazz classics from one of Manchester’s best loved gospel performers
