Come and join Lime printmaking artist Colette Whittington for an introduction to wood block printmaking and help us create a unique alphabet. Learn how to create your own fonts using hand drawn graphic design processes and have a go at carving and printing your own block. No prior printmaking experience necessary, everybody is welcome.
No prior printmaking experience necessary, accessible for all levels.
Colette Whittington is an artist, printmaker and educator who has been leading printmaking workshops for over 15 years in colleges and healthcare settings, as well as at Tate Liverpool. She has collaborated on projects including ‘Afro Punk’ at Wolverhampton Art Gallery for Black History Month, Protest Print at Liverpool Quakers for the WEA, and ‘The Human Library’ at Sefton Libraries to name the most recent ones. Colette, like us here at Lime HQ, is mad about all things ‘print’ and is a strong advocate in the democracy of printmaking, believing that the process of printing offers great rewards, and joy for all, from the experienced artist to the complete beginner alike.https://www.instagram.com/colette_whittington
